Wall Hangings
Each wall hanging begins as sheets of thin Korean mulberry paper. Using Joomchi, a centuries-old felting technique, Linda works the wet layers by hand until the fibers lock together, with no glue or thread. The result is a surface that looks and feels like textured fabric or leather, with holes, ridges and lace-like openings that catch the light.
The pieces in this collection explore color and form, from the warm tones of Study in Orange to the layered blues of Interwoven Blue and Blue & Gold. Every hanging is one of a kind and made in Linda’s studio in the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana.
